    Abstract
The USDA-ARS watershed network was initiated as part of an EOS Aqua AMSR-E project in 2002. It consists of four sub-networks - Little River, Little Washita, Walnut Gulch and Reynolds Creek. These sub-networks have 16 to 29 stations on the area of few hundred km square. The soil moisture and soil temperature in the layer 0.00-0.05m are measured at each of the stations and the arithmetical average and area weighted average of the stations measurements are provided for each of the sub-networks.
    Variables measured soil moisture
    soil temperature
    Depths of soil moisture measurements 0.00 - 0.05 m
Soil Moisture sensors used Hydraprobe Analog (2.5 Volt) average
    Hydraprobe Analog (2.5 Volt) area-weighted-average
Data availability from 2002-06-01 to 2009-07-31
